Your safety is a top priority at Royal Kona Resort so we have put together this resource of important tips and reminders about ocean and pool safety when visiting the resort and exploring Hawai'i Island.
The Royal Kona Resort does not have lifeguards on duty and we require that children under the age of 16 be with a parent or guardian when swimming at the resort. View our pool & ocean safety card for more information about our pool rules and regulations.
Our saltwater swimming lagoon is protected by a naturally occurring reef which gives it shelter from ocean currents and tides; however please note there is no lifeguard on duty and swimming is at your own risk.
There are several public beaches on Hawai'i Island that post lifeguards between the hours of 8am - 4:30pm. It is important to follow posted signs for any warnings or notices when planning to swim. Please visit the Hawai'i Beach Safety website to learn more. View our pool & ocean safety card for more information about our ocean safety tips.
